About the Club
The Rhymney Valley Music Club, founded in 1962, was originally started to provide a winter season of live concerts here in the Rhymney Valley. Over the years, it has provided a wide range of professional concerts ranging from brass bands and orchestral music to opera and incorporating concerts by choirs, solo singers, instrumental groups and soloists.
Concert Venues
Our concerts are all held in Ystrad Mynach, either in Lewis Girls' School or Siloh Christian Centre. Both venues have disabled access.
The Concert Season
Our season lasts from September to May with one concert per month. Unless otherwise stated, all concerts are on Saturday afternoons. All afternoon concerts start at 2.30pm. Light refreshments are served during the interval of each concert so that the audience can socialise as well as enjoy the music.
